Exercise & Pregnancy - Yes You Can!
Ladies, it’s a wonderful time in your lives and there are a lot of changes happening to your bodies but the good news is that you can exercise from start to finish. There is so much information available now on pregnancy dos and don’ts, so here are some of the top tips.
- Inform your Instructor as soon as you know that you are pregnant..
- Wear a good support bra and good training shoes with lateral support.
- Exercise for pregnancy is for ‘Maintenance Only’
- Drink plenty of fluids.
- Remember all pregnancies are different.
- Listen to your body, if you feel pain, STOP!!
› Other factors to realize:
Body Temperature - Should never rise above 38.5°C /101°farenheit.
Calorie Intake – No more than 2000 calories maximum per day. Maybe an extra 100 calories towards the end of the pregnancy.
Eating Plan – Make sure that you get all the required vitamins and minerals through your diet. A good healthy balanced diet is best.
Exercise Program – Should be modified so that undue stress is not placed on the body.
